A manual pigging system from Influx is a cost-effective solution that’s easy to install in an existing production setup. A manual solution is ideal for small and medium-sized operations where the plant is already operated manually.
A manual pigging system consists of a launch and a receiving station.
A typical manual pigging cycle runs as follows:
1: The product is pumped into the pipeline and out to the final destination (e.g., a filling machine).
2: The product pump stops and the system is prepared for pigging.
3: The pig is inserted into the launch station.
4: The pig is propelled by the driving medium, and the remaining product can be used at the final destination.
5: When the pipeline is empty, the pig is removed from the receiving station and production can start again.
